2010 Vehicle Specifications (F274)

Chassis: Steel tubular space frame with integrated carbon fiber shear panels.

Wheels/Tires: Keizer magnesium 3-piece center-lock wheels with Goodyear 20x7.0-13 tires.

Front/Rear Suspension: Pullrod actuated with prototype MTU Formula SAE shocks and carbon-fiber control arms.

Power Plant: Honda CBR600F4i with custom intake, exhaust, and dry-sump oil system. Controlled by MoTeC ECU.

Power Output: TBA

Braking: Brembo dual-piston calipers with Galfer 220mm wave floating rotors. Fully adjustable brake bias.

Shifting/Clutch: Electronically-controlled pneumatic shifting and clutch.

Vehicle Weight: Target: 465 pounds, wet, without driver

-Wheels/Tires: Jongbloed Racing forged aluminum 3-piece wheels with center-locking retention. Goodyear racing slick and rain tires.

-Front/Rear Suspension: Front: Pullrod actuated inboard Risse shocks. Rear: Pushrod actuated inboard Risse shocks. Adjustable torsional anti-roll bars.

-Power Plant: Honda F4i engine with custom designed intake, exhaust, and oil relocation system. Controlled by Performance Electronics ECU.

-Braking: Dual piston Brembro calipers with Galfer floating wave rotors. Separate master cylinders for front and rear using a custom balance bar and pedal assembly.

-Power Output 65 RWHP, 35 ft-lb torque

-Shifting/Clutch: Cable operated paddle shifters and clutch. Electronic fuel and ignition cut on shift

-Vehicle Weight: 502 Pounds with all fluids.

-Front/Rear Suspension: Inboard Pullrod/ Pushrod actuated coil-over suspension.

-Power Plant: Honda F4i engine with custom designed intake and exhaust. Controlled by Performance Electronics ECU.

-Braking: Two piston Brembro calipers with Galfer floating wave rotors. Separate master cylinders for front and rear using a custom balance bar and pedal assembly.

-Power Output 73 hp at 9500 rpm. 58 hp at the rear wheels.

-Shifting/Clutch: Cable operated paddle shifters and clutch. Automatic clutch actuation on downshift.

-Vehicle Weight: 476 Pounds with all fluids.


2007 Competition Results

Acceleration: 42nd - 4.485 seconds

-This event in a straight line test of vehicles acceleration through 75 meters. One driver has two attempts at this event, taking the fastest time for scoring.

Skid-Pad: 55th - 5.649 seconds

-The skid pad is a "figure 8" type track that tests the vehicles handling under high lateral g-forces. Two drivers each have two attempts to put down the fastest lap on the figure 8 track.

Autocross: 66th - 55.406 seconds

-The autocross is road course approximately 1 km. long that two drivers each get two time trials on. Fastest trial of the four is used for both event scoring and placement in endurance race.

Endurance-Fuel Economy: 34th

-The endurance race involves running 22 laps on a 1-kilometer road course with a driver switch and judge inspection after the first 11 laps. This event is worth more points than any other event in the competition. Vehicle fuel economy does play a factor in scoring of this event.

Overall: 48th out of 106
